Field Settings
Change Settings of various fields
Use This guide to refer any field setting. This guide is integrated into form builder as well.
Label And Placeholder
A label is the name assigned to a field. A placeholder is temporary text indicating what information to enter. Users can customize fields by naming them or leaving them blank.
Default
"Default" refers to a pre-filled value or text in a text input field when a form loads.
Fixed
A non-editable "fixed" text field that remains unchanged regardless of other fields on the form.
Dependent
Once dependent is checked, you need to select another dropdown field available on canvas. Check the picture below. Document Required field is dependent on company status. For Individual one needs to upload passport, for LLP one needs to upload a return document and so on.
Based on what user selects, display of Document Required will change. See the picture below:

Format
Sometimes one needs to take the input from user in fixed format like some document number always have prefix like TS
Scanner
A scanner that reads barcodes, which are graphical representations of data on products.
Visibility
One can use visibility option to apply different show or hide Conditions on the field. For Example, if we don't want to show some field based on previous selected field like company type. Refer to dependent field example above in this document. It's very useful setting while setting up the branching or complex forms.
Required
Indicates that certain information must be provided before a form can be submitted.
Editable
Editable fields allow input or changes, enabling users to enter or update information as needed.
